In our pack of two humans and two dogs, we have a senior dog (the one who came first) and the junior dog. Senior gets fed first, goes in and out first, etc. Our senior dog is pretty laid back and gets along fine with the junior, sharing a water bowl, even learns stuff from him. But junior is a food vacuum and senior likes to actually taste his food as it goes down, so junior gets fed behind a gate so senior can enjoy. Except last night. I forgot to close the gate and left the room. All of a sudden I hear “rorgggeorrrswrrogg” coming from the other room and junior comes skittering into where I am. I went into the room where they get fed and senior is peacefully enjoying the remains of his dinner, having successfully given junior a lesson in canine dining etiquette. Gotta love ’em!
