I had a chance meeting with Hank Aaron at Milwaukee County’s then Mitchell Field. He was walking through the concourse apparently unrecognized by anyone else. I knew him and walked up to him and asked “Aren’t you Hank Aaron?” He was very gracious and acknowledged he was. Shook my hand. I don’t remember much about the conversation we had because I was so in awe of meeting him (this was some years after he retired). And did I mention He. Shook. My. Hand?
