At 8 months in and America SILL has no cogent corona virus policy, even though most of the Trump administration has now contracted the virus. The x-ray tech who currently has Trump’s ear maintains that “herd immunity” is the way to – everybody just needs to catch the virus, recover, then we’ll be fine! (this procedure would lead to between 2 and 6 million additional deaths – but he says it’s worth it to achieve the desired “immunity”!)
Understand that “Herd Immunity” probably won’t work here since this is a “corona” virus, just as is the common cold – When was the last time you heard someone claim, after catching a “cold” that they were immune to ever getting another cold?
Herd immunity generally doesn’t work except under ideal conditions, anyway. My people never developed “herd immunity” to smallpox or any of the other European diseases introduced into our society because, among other things we were such a small target group to begin with.
As a matter of record, herd immunity usually fails to protect societies in any but the most controlled circumstances, and its espousal by anyone in control of a society indicates a complete lack of societal empathy
Odd that the MAGAts still shout “Make America Great Again” since that’s an admission that Trump has failed to make America great during his past four years…
