    Good morning, Vagabonds…

BENITIN Y ENEAS: Now that the English version is available at GoComics, I can see why I was unable to “get” the little story in yesterday’s strip, especially the knot-tying in panel 4. It was way too far-out (ridiculous!) for me to comprehend with the language barrier. lol

I misread the weather early a.m. yesterday when I went for a walk, and got caught in a sudden downpour! After finding shelter in a park pavilion for the worst of it, I secured my “electronics” (my phone & GPS mileage tracker) inside my shirt and made a “run” for home (my “run” these days is a fast walk). The temperature was something close to 80 degrees and the storm didn’t have any electrical activity, so there wasn’t really a problem. I used to walk carrying an umbrella, but gave the ‘brella up about a year ago when I started swinging my arms while I walk. I’ll be more careful about the weather in the future…if yesterday’s storm had been one with lightening, I would have had a long wait under the shelter of the park pavilion.

    Hi ho Vagabonds

Still dark outside, current and high 52 rain likely. OK, keep it coming, but, don’t over do it.

The first thing cooked in the new oven was fish-n-chips, well, onion rings. Kinda burned the onion rings, slap on wrist, fish survived though. Electronic oven controls take a bit to understand how they work.

Got a doctor’s appointment today, the annual go round to see if anything new ales me.

The best to all y’all and may the Lord walk arm in arm with you.

    Good Sunny morning, Vagabonds,

It got all the way up to 43 yesterday, and melted 90% of the snow. Hooray! Just in time for the next go-round starting tomorrow.

Jack did go down to the post office yesterday, and came back with a mud covered car! Our roads were really muddy!

The package he went for was from our Palmdale daughter. It was a hand knitted velvety pillow (in deep burgundy color) that is absolutely beautiful! She knitted one for each of the family members during her covid quarantine. She works out of her home and has free evenings, so she knits. (she also lost 27 pounds during this time!!)

    xoxo Happy Trails

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

I went to the Gatekeepers prayer meeting this morning. We had another new member today while a few old ones had to stay away this time.

On the way home I ran several errands, trying to keep to a route that kept me from backtracking too much. I think I succeeded. I went to the office of Jeffery Scott Fine Magnetics to have a couple of our magnetic bracelets repaired (for free – lifetime warranty). While I was there, I saw a new one that is quite beautiful. They had a terrific sale on it, so I bought it and gave it to Michael to give to me for Christmas. They do have a website. Google them if your are interested.

We’re still looking at the low 90’s for now although yesterday did stay under 90. It’s been so dry, we are now 182 days since any measurable rainfall. The monsoons stayed away this year. And the air in the valley is so thick today you can’t see from one side to the other, even though the AQI is only 53. It doesn’t seem to be smoke, but it’s just plain nasty.

Everyone be safe and have a blessed day.
