I agree with taking bin Laden out, and I also agree with Fennec. WE are supposed to be a nation of law. WE, along with most of the world recognized him as an international criminal, and murderer. A trigger pull is more “personal” than mass bombing whole nations of people, just to “get” one man, but far more “humane” and “just”– been there.
We need to balance justice very carefully with “effect”. If we give up our freedom for expedience (or power) like with the “Patriot Act” (which isn’t), we can lose the real war.
Yes, Baslim, it is indeed important we do not, as in Iraq, submit to being a lynch mob, out to hang the innocent as well as the guilty, or even INSTEAD OF!
