I spent just over 21 years serving in the Air Force… but I never claimed to be a patriot, I just claimed I like the color blue (as in the uniforms). Every time I hear someone claim to be a patriot or how great patriotism is, I just cringe and want to get as far away from them as possible, they are seriously unstable individuals.

Patriotism the feeling of love, devotion and sense of attachment to a homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment.
Many don’t have it. Many of those use it to manipulate those who do. Those tend to be bad people. Or so it seems to me.
