Been there, done that and laughed for the rest of the day – couldn’t find my eyeglasses until I walked by a mirror and saw that I was wearing them!! Just goes to show we can ‘miss’ the obvious.
As the years go by, I figure no one will notice this about me, since I’ve been this way all my life. My teen forgetfulness merged into late-years forgetfulness. I’m hoping that a long life of it will simply allow me to have built up good skills for handling it.

One day I had my hands full but couldn’t find my phone. I had my husband call it and it rang. In my armpit.
