Living in Africa, I would point at the dead chicken hanging in the 120 degree heat. The unwashed vendor would wrap it in a piece of dirty newspaper and never ask, “Would you like flies with that?” Part of the ambiance.
Soundpreacher. I’ve never seen this strip to ever be:
Racist
Hateful
Un-funny. Sometimes it takes a while to get the humor on the occasional obscure joke, like any good strip, but it is always funny. Well except for the Haiku for Japan a few days ago. But it was intentionally not funny or racist or hateful.
I don’t know what strip you’ve been reading, but it wasn’t La Cucaracha, Soundpreacher.
Maybe you were reading the Right-wing, Tea-bagger’s comments on the strip. Oh, sorry, that was racist, hateful and funny.
BTW, I’m Greek/Irish/German/Slovak in portions from smallest to largest of my make up. I’m defending the strip because I know it is the right thing to do, not because of the groups I may or may not belong to.
