Democrats think the “system is broken.” Republicans have “FIXED” the system like it was a dog.

I love gridlock and inaction. Perhaps Jefferson’s quote, “The government that governs best, governs least” should be looked at in a broader sense. When my morning paper proclaims, “Warring parties fail to pass bill”, I smile in my coffee and know all is right in the world. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief.

Lewreader: Then I think you’ll find these folks to be congenial company, as I do — http://westanddivided.blogspot.com/. One of their signature quotes is also from Thomas Jefferson: “Divided we stand, united we fall.”

I agree. At least we have one senator, but he isn’t permitted to mention his party. We could also use that great US invention, the People’s Party. Eighty-something countries in the world have the modern equivalent, Greens. Both Socialists and Greens have the same goal - the greatest good for the most people - the difference is the Socialists want it from the top down and “trickle-down” doesn’t work very efficiently, while the Greens want grass-roots-up, which only works when the people are educated to make it work.

The system delayed posting this and an attempt to move it on resulted in repeats. Sorry.

If you weren’t so locked into the Íoviet Union’s definition of “socialist”, you would know socialism owes far more to George Bernard Shaw than to Karl Marx. Or were you refering to Chico, Groucho, or Harpo? Google Fabien Society and learn.
