    Hi Dkram & Vagabonds….

It’s a cloudy morning here in So. Fla., and it’s grocery day for me, also. Which means I’ll be watching my email for the heads-up that my order is ready, and then I’ll be driving to the Walmart three miles to the west for a “curbside” no-contact pickup. My most recent order was a delivery from Florida’s fave grocery store, Publix. The Publix delivery person puts the grocery bags into my car trunk (the car is parked in the driveway); then when the delivery person drives away, I go outside and bring my groceries into the house. Between the two – Walmart pickup & Publix delivery, I am keeping well stocked, including plenty of cat food!

My most recent Publix order included one package of “bun-length” Oscar Mayer wieners. I hardly ever eat hot dogs. But it was a pandemic thing…I just really wanted sit here at home and eat a couple hot dogs (and I also ordered bun, mustard, and relish!).

    Good Cloudy morning, Vagabonds,

We’re scheduled to get 90% precip this afternoon. We had a few thunderclaps yesterday and a few spits of rain. It was just enough to turn the deck yellow from the pollen. My allergies sure are attacking me. Harrumph!

Boy did I get my days confused yesterday. All day long I thought it was Saturday. Oh well, I can now look forward to the IndyCar race this evening. Again.

We watched an interesting documentary yesterday. Dambusters and D-Day. What those brave men did for our country. They will never be forgotten.

    xoxo Happy Trails

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

In the comics, only the Peanuts strip paid homage to D-Day, and it was a reprint from I don’t know how many years ago.

Today also would have been my grandparents 99th anniversary. And tomorrow would have been my mom’s (their daughter) 95th birthday. And yes, she took a lot of ribbing about the 1 day difference when she was growing up. Most kids ignored the 4 years in between. Kids could be cruel, even in the 1920’s and 30’s.

Today’s weather is at least 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. It got up to 99, yesterday and today’s forecast is for 88. And yes, the doors are all wide open letting in the cooling wind that is blowing.

We even took the cats out for a walk this morning. They both appreciated it after being cooped up inside for a few days. Speaking of the cats, I’m having trouble finding a dry cat food that they will eat. They stopped eating the Science Diet and are boycotting the IAMS. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Everyone have a blessed and safe day.

    Howdy Vagabonds

It appears there is no Sunday B&E this morning. (?.?)

Our forecast seems to be a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 70. They lied to us yesterday, we got the T-storms in the morning and sun in the afternoon, liked it better that’a way.

Nate is planning communion for this mornings on line service live on FB.

May y’all have a blessed Sunday, and may God lay his hand upon you.

    Good Sunny morning. Vagabonds,

It’s supposed to get all the way up to 62 today, and then more thunderstorms. Things are so fresh from yesterday’s rain. Mmmmmm. Sweet.

Just before noon yesterday our power went out until 7:07 last night! That was the longest we’ve gone without power. So I planned a cold dinner. The crummy thing was when the power finally went on and everything reset itself, we only saw 105 of 300 laps of the race. Certainly not fun.

Enjoy your day. xoxo Happy Trails

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Please see my post on Gaturro this morning. The comic artists are paying tribute to the folks who have served us while we isolated ourselves.

Church this morning was great as usual. I talked to Pastor Tim and he said they got a box of 500 of those communion cups for only $80 for use on the 28th. That’s better than any price I found. I went out to breakfast with friends afterwards, and it felt so good to get together like that after so long.

It only got up to 84 yesterday and today it is only 78 at the moment (1 PM). Nice for a change. And yes, the doors are all open for the breeze to blow through.

Today is leftover day in the kitchen. We don’t usually do that on Sunday, but we have so much cluttering up the fridge that it can’t wait any longer. It’s kinda fun, though. Sort of like a pot luck…

Everyone have a blessed and safe Sunday.
