That's the sort of thing I need to do to gain confidence and self esteem . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown starts to raise his hand and says, "I think I'll raise my hand and volunteer . . . It'll be good for me . . . I think I'll just raise my hand and volunteer . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "My hand won't go up . . . It's smarter than I am!"<BR><BR>

This was the beginning of a series of strips that were adapted into the film “A Boy Named Charlie Brown”. While Charlie Brown was a great speller in the film, as you’ll see as the strips go on, it doesn’t end well for our wishy-washy hero here.
