Just right, until the pizza delivery guy gets sick but only has 10 days of paid sick leave. Then I hope he delivers a pizza to every gop senator and especially to the White House
My local Mall-Wart looks like a war-zone, local fast food places are now either drive-thru or take out only, barber shops and gyms will close tonight…LOTS of people in my small town are gonna be REALLY hurting when the trump depression kicks in.
What some people don’t seem to realize is that this virus can cause serious permanent lung damage in anyone. And it mutates quickly, so it could get much worse and be hard to create a vaccine for. There are already two strains among the human population.
It makes sense to stockpile. Some. For instance, here in potential earthquake territory, we all should have a two week supply of what’s needed to shelter in place. WITHOUT power and utilities. And I admit, I’m a little lax on that. So this could be a bit of a silver lining.
By the way: Watching netflix isn’t any safer than going for a hike (and passing other hikers about 2 meters apart). Or a bike ride. Or a drive in the country (though that will add the necessity of buying gas: Be sure to clean your hands after handling the nozzle). Or gardening, knitting, cooking a fine meal, reading a bedtime story (via the internet) to your grandkid (or in person if your kid’s still home. And young enough not to throw you the finger if you offer a story). It’s kind of odd how “stay physically distant” seems to have morphed into “it’s like being snowed in”.
