I didn’t watch the (I actually had to look this up to remember the name†) Oscars. Again. Because of all the hype, the length of the entirely predictable speeches and the totally self-serving selection process. Not to mention that I don’t go to movies much, so most of what they’re pretending to care about is totally opaque to me. But except for tying the long rambling speech to veganism (I presume) I bet there have been at least two at every “honors” show for every medium that ever reaches TV.
