They don’t actually chisel them out, the tooth has to be broken in half, so it can be removed, because it’s four roots are wrapped around the jaw bone. And, I know, TMI, but I had all four of mine removed, the two on one side, then the two on the other side. Ew!!! Ew!!! Ew!!! (As well as ouch-ouch-ouch!!!)

I knew I got them when one came in impacted and had to be chiseled out. Such a cute little hammer and chisel.

You listen when the dentist counts your teeth. I still remember him counting them and saying “unerupted”. Such a great word.
