They’ve ignored their oaths of office. I’m almost positive that they’ll ignore the oath they take to be impartial. For a very large value of “almost”.

It’s been said that the House Impeachment process was a political stunt and in truth this must be considered. The same of true of the Senate. The whole House oversight of the administration is by and large a political act. In a sense, a President needs to take into account the congress he/she might face. Trump had a Repub congress and so thought he could do anything. He never considered that the Dems might take back any part of the congress during the midterms. When they did, then all Trump’s dirty deeds to that point could come back to haunt him. Now, like then President Clinton, Trump is not likely to be removed from office by the President’s party in power in the Senate. This, too, though not by design, is a political act. So, Trump is most likely to finish out his first term in office. Hopefully, the electorate will not be gullible enough to buy his bilge water spiel and vote for him, again.

The RW are now running around with false stories about Nancy Pelosi and the pens she used to sign the impeachment articles. The costs that they are claiming are as high as $2000 per pen. Several claim this is unprecedented, while they ignore the pens used by the Senate to sign the oath during Clinton’s impeachment. BTW, those pens had a type of “UNTIED” instead of United but the RW is now claiming that happened on the pens Pelosi used.

Removal in January, but in the meantime, the real job of Republicans is to shut him down, remove his appointees, like in the courts, and reverse his regulation changes that endanger democracy, the environment, and the futures of our posterity.
