1803… well, the Louisiana Purchase for one, and the 12th Amendment that makes the Vice President a separate candidate for election (rather than the loser in the presidential election) is ratified. 1716… the Old Pretender James Edward Stuart flees Scotland after the failure of the Jacobite rising that tried to put him on the throne. 1601… the first performance of Hamlet at the Globe Theatre.
Seems rather quiet years for history for the most part.
