Boy Nana has this wrong, the religion mandates the dress code. Also just try to leave the religion, depending on which sect you’re in, you could be ostracized or even killed by your own family. And it’s just not Islam with these rules, ask a Quaker, Amish, or Mennonite if they can leave their religion without repercussions.
