There is always a ‘first time’ to watch a newer show, whether it is during the first season, or the 5th season.

When I was a kid, there was one local TV “critic” whose tastes matched mine. Since then, I avoid most of the “popular” fare in theaters and on TV.
“The Mandalorian” just finished the season and has been renewed for a 2nd season. Very good show. I have spoken.
