I liked Popeye, but the best thing about that strip was Robin Williams playing him in that great (though not critically loved) movie. Still, I loved Popeye cartoons.
I did enjoy the live action Popeye movie. Has much of the vibe of the early and best Popeye cartoons. Popeye in the cartoons got his start on “Betty Boop”.
