Every place you let “anybody” post, there’s going to be mis- and even dis-information. If you think otherwise, you’re not thinking about how hard it is to double check every single post. How long do you take to write a response to something you see here. How long would it take if you didn’t already have an opinion or/and expertise? Sure, AIs can maybe do it better, but maybe not so much. Oh, I know: Your post cannot be seen until after it’s checked. No instant feedback. Think you’d stay on that forum?

Bottom line: Facebook is embracing the noise and junk, and the others are attempting to keep it clean… and failing. I’m not saying the FB way is better, but it is at least being overt about what’s happening.

Of course, I haven’t been a “Facebook” user since it was proven to be an open supporter of the Russian propaganda machine (some of the Anti-Clinton ads accepted by “Facebook” were paid for in Russian rubles, for Pete’s sake!), I will simply point out that ANYONE who accepts ANYTHING as fact without verifying it first, is worse than a fool!

(You might demonstrate your total lack of intelligence by doing your “Facebook” fact-checking by going to the “Fox News” website or the “National Enquirer” website where you’ll find “political” news between stories of either the Clintons running an underage Bordello beneath a Pizza Parlor (Fox) or directly beneath stories shouting “Aliens Stole my Chickens!” (Enquirer), demonstrating that “intelligence” is an acquired taste – but, oh well.)
