Sophie and Peppermint Patty stand on the dock. Sophie says, "Good Morning, ma'am." Peppermint Patty says, "Don't call me 'ma'am,' Sophie . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty asks, "Have you ever had any swimming lessons?" Sophie replies, "No, ma'am, but I'm ready!"<BR><BR> Sophie yells "Here I go!" and flips over the side of the dock. Peppermint Patty looks shocked.<BR><BR> Sophie climbs out of the water onto the dock, and says to Peppermint Patty, "You're a good instructor, ma'am . . I hardly even drowned!"<BR><BR>

Sophie was the first to call Peppermint Patty “sir” in 1968. Now, with Marcie taking over the “sir” trait, Sophie now calls PP "ma’am instead.
