Considering that Yoda implied that he was old at 900 even for the standards of his race, a 50 year old member should be at least the equivalent of a 7 year old human (and I doubt that they would mature at the same rate as humans relative to lifespan regardless). This is just some ridiculous idea to sell toys. That is how Disney operates. Not all of their movies and shows do well in the box office or on TV but almost all make a profit once merchandising tie-ins are added in.
