Since it is graduation season, I was having a conversation with a recent junior high grad who was talking about a career in sports. Of course, his mom was advocating some other career – I think in law. Anyone, I pointed out that both are probably equally difficult in their own way, but the challenge with a career as a basketball player is that the bar of how good you have to be is constantly moving because there are only so many spots for pro basketball players. To be a lawyer you have a fixed set of things you can line up and knock down then you are a lawyer. They considered this, and decided it made sense. So now, being a lawyer is their backup plan if they don’t get drafted out of college into the pros. Take the progress where you can get it.

I think Mondo would be an amazing magician. He should star in his own short segments where puts on a magic show with help from his feet of fire.
