Tamales are traditionally served on Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Day.
We lived in the north Dallas area for 22 years. My wife worked with a Hispanic nurse who would bring tamales in when they made them. Thet were amazingly good, and they pretty much made enough to fill a pickup truck bed! LOL!
