Makes you wonder why Marcie even deigned to LOOK AT Floyd, by this time—at least I’m guessing she had looked at him, in the first two panels, even though she is not visible. Goodness, Floyd, what part of “I have, and want, NOTHING to do with you!” don’t you understand?

It’s stories lines like this that made Peppermint Patty and Marcie appeal to young girls who did not have an attraction to boys.
