Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown share a desk at school. Peppermint Patty raises her hand and says, "The answer is six!" Charlie Brown says, "Three!"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty frowns and turns away. She says, "You contradicted me, Chuck! You made a fool out of me in front of the whole class!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown replies, "'Six' was the wrong answer . . . I had to say, 'Three.'"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says, "You don't like me, do you, Chuck?"<BR><BR>

Re:last panel: Well, who can blame “Chuck,” Patty, for wanting nothing to do with you, all the times you have pushed him around? Even if Peppermint Patty is just a tomboy by nature, I think she really does single "Chuck"out, as a favorite to pick on and bully, really, I do. Heck, he was the first person she had met, back in 1966(through Roy, who happened to be a mutual friend)—he was the first “outsider” whom she had met, when she joined the strip, in late August 1966, and pretty much from then on, she really had never been too nice to him, in my opinion. Charlie Brown might as well have been sitting next to Lucy here. At least over summer 1972, when PP finally saw the little red-haired girl in person, and no sooner saw how BEAUTIFUL Heather was, and that PP could NEVER hold a candle to her, in terms of appearance, Peppermint Patty got what was coming to her, by breaking down and crying bitterly.
