Linus approaches and says, "Charlie Brown, I think I know why we lose so many ball games . ."<BR><BR> Linus continues, "You are probably aware that a loss of sodium and water due to increased perspiration produces a decrease in the circulating blood volume and ultimatley circulatory collapse . . ."<BR><BR> Linus sits next to Charlie Brown and continues, "The way I see it, Charlie Brown, our problem is 'Hyponatremia'!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "I don't have a second baseman, I have an internist!"<BR><BR>

So…they need Gatorade. At the time, it was the “official drink” of the NFL. It also tasted like salty lemonade.

What Linus goes on to say in Panels 2 and 3 reminds me that he had once had an ambition to become a doctor, when he grew up—this was said in a daily strip in 1966. He would have made a great doctor, partly by being as intelligent as he always was.
