This looks like one of those situations where someone goes to a great amount of effort to avoid work, the effort being a lot more work than the “work” would have been in the first place. Also, I would much rather wash dishes than do homework at this point in my life (the dishes take, what, maybe 10 or 15 minutes maximum?)!
