Mortimer may be smarter than Joe, in a common sense sort of way. He saw the “monster” as a threat to the kids, and went into PROTECT mode. And he already performed his version of Lassie saving Timmy. GOOD dog!
The good thing is, the Sockness Monster can be reincarnated pretty easily.
I think Sam has a point here.
Sam might as well give up. Joe will never wise up and face the truth. That is bad considering that Joe is a police officer.
