Gordie Howe used a strait blade as well. That made it easier to shoot both lefty and righty.

When I played hockey I paid less than $10 on a stick. Early on say at age 9-14 I had to cut down the stick buying 3 sticks a year. Later when I played the game harder I probably broke 40-50 of them in 7 years. Would that have paid for a composite stick?

I think the hair is back. The end of an era.

His hair comes and goes, is Brian reacting to email he gets, or is it because he just can’t make up his mind.

I still use a wood stick - though a composite can be easily obtained for $100. Even wood sticks run for $25. (but last year I got a deal and got 3 CCMs for $30).

Chikuku, I think Chinese kids play sports, too, although I admit that no other country takes their sports quite so seriously.

Curved wooden sticks were what I played with.
