I love the joke, but in my capacity as Science Man I must point out that it has been discovered that the appendix serves the purpose of protecting a supply of necessary intestinal bacteria from expulsion by diarrhea-causing diseases. Just sayin’.
Great, Next thing the Chinese will be killing their dissidents for their appendixes. I can hardly wait for the transplant business on those things and all the seniors crying about them being taken out.
