Just waiting for the day when Garry Trudeau can reprise his classic Doonesbury cartoon from 5/29/73 with Mark Slackmeyer crowing "THAT’S GUILTY! GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY!!

It should be noted hear that the House of Representatives has successfully impeached two presidents, Andrew Johnson and William Clinton. Madison’s claim of them “not using it” is incorrect – in both cases it was the U.S. SENATE that “failed” in its duty to use ‘Impeachment’ – not the House!

And, moreover, twice impeachment was brought forth in the House, and twice the Senate said “we don’t think so” so the Congress has successfully “used” impeachment twice, so to my mind, BOTH Johnson and Madison are wrong (though I get why Andy wants to remove the ability to impeach from the House).

It should be noted that “Little Andy J.”, after serving as President, successfully ran for a seat in the U.S.Senate. Trump could consider that option, as well, I guess, but he would have to relocate to one of our less intelligent states to be successful – and this would be assuming that he’s not going to be subsumed by indictments once he leaves office.

From O Brother, Where Are Thou: “You sold your immortal soul to the Devil?” “Well, I wasn’t usin’ it at the time.”

Maybe the Constitution should have a “use it or lose it” clause for each article or part thereof?

I understand and agree, Mr. Carroll – you have a certain responsibility to act in a responsible manner – after all you have a substantial audience, and, so, must temper your ‘outrage’!

I, on the other hand, am little more than a “voice in the wilderness”, and, as such, I have a responsibility for NO ONE but myself for any “crazy” or stupid comments. Moreover, I welcome calumny; it shows that at least SOMEONE is ‘listening’!
