As someone who suffers from panic/anxiety I can say that this thread is totally accurate. That’s the way people see us. We need to just “chill out” or “stop overreacting”. They don’t realize just how bad it is. You literally feel like you’re going to die. It’s a feeling I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, but at the same time I wish that others could feel it… just for a short time, and then maybe they’d understand a bit better. And try dealing with an insurance company that is fighting against covering anxiety meds…. sighhhh just lead me to the nice padded room and the hug-me jacket……
Years ago Heart would have jumped at the chance to audition but now the very thought of it has turned Heart into a panicky mess. Middle school really messed her up.

I think Heart needs a psychologist or psychiatrist. I’ve never seen her have a panic attack, let alone this huge.

Some people wind up in the ER because of a panic attack. It can mimic the signs of a heart attack.
