Same exuberance was on display in Bagdad, which I guess is the point. Let’s hope this is’t a similar precursor to “insurgencies” and roadside bombs in Egypt. Radical Muslims might use this as an opportunity to get a foothold in Egypt, so be careful what you wish for.

^ Ha! Riiiiiggggtttt. Keep believing the hype while being woefully ignorant. All those bombs in Russia, Germany, France, England, etc., have so much to do about American… HA! And none of the violence against infidels has ever played a part for Centuries now… HAHAHA! Ignorance is bliss after all… or so some believe.

^^ what in the world are you talking about? Where did missile defense come from? No one brought it up, certainly not me. The issue was Muslim extremism as supposedly caused by US foreign policy… even that against European countries and journalists (and technically even their own Muslim citizenry).

So are you trying to say that missile defenses in Europe have some how caused Muslim extremism against countries in Europe, even those where the missiles are trained to defend against (i.e., Russia)?

Let’s even say that that argument was ever used by muslim extremists, despite thousands of actions with claims having nothing to do with it and even actions against their own people in Muslim countries. Then you would agree with such justifications of actions by those Muslim Extremists?

Let’s say I lived a couple houses or even blocks down from you and I built a fence, maybe even some bars on the windows and a couple dogs in the yard… would you start sending in suicide bombers, etc., and shooting up my property using my fence, bars and dogs as justification?

I am thinking more and more that your avatar is greatly fitting your intellectual, and potentially even moral, prowess.

^ If you built your fortified house in their backyard, then reap what you sow.

I’d extend Bruce’s comment (which was in reply to beenthere’s comment) that it is not just US foreign policy but other Western nations’ policies, especially those of former colonial powers, in the last century .

I’m not a fan of van Dam but I see what he is comparing this to (beenthere41 picked it up as well although I don’t quite see his parallels with insurgency & roadside bombs). Cartoon works for me.
