FIFA needs to be cleansed.

The male tournament made 6.1 billion while the female tournament made only 131 million. The male pay was 7% of the tournament revenue. The female pay was 23% of the tournament revenue.

The women win, the men not so much. I thought U.S. society paid on the basis of success.

I wish there were Like, Dislike, and This is Baloney buttons under comics.

Mr. Summers: Good one, today.

The whole sports pay system stinks.. From individuals being paid more money than they could ever spend in a lifetime..to university teams paid peanuts.

To add injury to insult on the equal pay question, it’s likely the men will miss the goal and still get higher pay. Our women’s team regularly makes the World Cup group of 16, while the men’s team may not make it that far. We’re definitely not talking merit here.

To be even more astute and accurate, I’d imagine the cartoon depicting the man’s shot going wide of the goal.

I’m impressed that Mr Summers has come down on the ladies’ side. He’s usually off the beam on many subjects.

Based on their relative ability to score, it sure seems like the goals are reversed. Of course the text makes it clear that it isn’t “scoring” that is being displayed.
