Rubbish. The cartoonist is conflating two different crises: the manufactured one about illegal immigration and the real one of putting children in concentration camps. And besides, the Elephant is only concerned about immigration and doesn’t ever give a rip about human suffering.
But then, the point of being a conservative cartoonist is to lie convincingly.
Trump, and therefore His Disciples the Republicans, want Democrats to help build The Wall because Mexico is not going to pay for it, meaning that Their Messiah lied and looks bad being caught in the lie.
And yes, the so-called crisis is manufactured.

And families are suffering because they have been ripped apart by the Trump Policies, which he also lied about.
And children are in fact, in cages, in Trump Camps, and they are suffering — and occasionally dying.
The more the children suffer and die, the more Trump Disciples celebrate, since the whole object of the Trump Camps and policies of suffering are to make asylum seekers as miserable as possible and thus serve as a Deterrent.

If there were a real immigration crisis, Trump and other businesses would not be hiring illegals.
And, Trump and other businesses would not be importing ‘legals’ in order to take jobs of Americans and hold down labor costs (i.e. wages) generally.
There wasn’t a Crisis until Trump started separating families and deporting those who’ve lived and worked productive lives here in the US for most of their lives. What a load of BS this comic truly is
