I had a miniature dachshund (another hound!) who was very stubborn. (Cute as a button, but stubborn!) He loved to go in the tall grass in the field by the house and hide, delighting in ignoring me when I called and called to him. But he would get so happy at his deception that he would start wagging his tail, and I’d see the grass waving back and forth and go pick up the little devil and carry him home.
