Unable to comprehend the “logic” of this cartoon. But guessing that Lester is protesting the idea that a jail, which he portrays as a drunk-tank cell (not realistic for even regular jails) should be called a concentration camp. But lessee now:
Jail: A place where you await the judges’ attention, and then may serve a brief term for having been convicted of committing a less than serious crime.
Holding facility: A place where you are sent without adequate legal representation (or, often, even a chance to be heard by a judge) where you may be separated from your children who will also be incarcerated and where you will wait, with poor accommodations, an indefinite time until (maybe) you are removed to the border.
Concentration camp (US style): A place where you are sent without adequate legal representation (or, often, even a chance to be heard by a judge) where you will probably not be separated from your children, but will be held an indefinite time without possibility of getting out until you are released at the end of a war.

I’m guessing you believe it is okay to force children to sleep on cold floors with no blankets to warm them and withhold basic hygiene needs like soap and toothpaste while their Gestapo jailers wrap themselves under space blankets. Ooooo! I know! Let’s treat them like Mexico treats illegal aliens. No handouts, no welfare, no healthcare, no jobs, just a nasty prison sentence. For the ones who survive.
If you’re a bleeding heart who feels that we need to welcome illegal aliens, feed, clothe, house them, give them an education, and money to send home to their families, then YOU fund them, YOU put them up in your home and town, and YOU put up with the nightmare that you’ll end up living in.
Don’t steal our tax dollars to do these things, YOU, personally, pay for it.
