Today, I remember the effect of PTSD on we ‘Nam returnees, and today’s dads coming back from current wars, and our inability to be truly loving, touching, involved dads for our kids. My daughter commented when I first got treatment for PTSD when she was a high school senior, how much it helped, and changed, my ability to be a “loving” dad. So, for dads out there now, whose only desire is to be GREAT Dads, let’s get them the help they need. Support our vets!(and their families)
My wife cooked up a dandy omelette for Fathers Day. Better than a do-dad any ol’ day of the year! And I don’t have to remember to wear it, show it off, cook with it or use it to work on the house!
