Animal abuse or human abuse in the Almond picking industry.. pick your poison. Putting food on our table includes some things we would rather not see.. or, made aware of.

Funny – until you look at the impact almond production has on California’s water resources. Be better if it read “Soy Milk”. Soy farmers need the love, not so much the almond growers.

Milk is nutrition for calves and only for a short period of time. Not really designed for human consumption.

Fair Oaks, w/ 36,000 cows, provides their brand of milk to Coca Cola. This is not a family farm: They have lots of employees many of whom are self-supervised. I cannot tell from here if they’re being honest when they say they were blind-sided, and have both fired the employees involved but also are putting in video cameras “everywhere” (the expense of watching those feeds is much much higher than the cost of installing the cameras).

Wait, didn’t we have “the talk” about abusing almonds?

Make all the jokes you like – I LOVE almond milk, and other nut milks.
