We have a rescue dog that we got from the animal shelter. She was abused and neglected by previous owners. She has come a long way since we got her in January but she still needs reassurance our home is her forever home and that we have each other forever.
Rescue dogs are the best. All the dogs I have ever had came from a shelter. The one I have now was so sweet when he was a puppy, I joined a group that trains therapy dogs. For 12 years he has been the hit of the Vet Rehab Center in our neighborhood. As a therapy dog, he gets LOTS of positive reinforcement!!!!!
