Do I get to bet?
No. do not bet, this is a game we will lose. We could win if we learn the language and culture but knowing how lazy Americans are it’s not likely.
That’s neither checkers nor Go. It’s 象棋 (Xiangqi), which is sometimes called Chinese chess.
I think it’s saying we aren’t even on the same page.
