Social media have been a forum for all kinds of speech, including “hate speech” but also “anti-government” speech. I’t s a slippery slope: Once they start to censor what’s said in any way, anybody with sufficient power can force them to censor it in particular ways.

What is called “hate speech” is despicable and yet if we do censor it aren’t we violating what the whole idea of “free speech” really means?
