AMEN to that! 25 years of trying to get Catholics to join the choir when they would rather sit in the pews and listen to others sing like angels in the choir lofts high above and behind them! Just getting them to sing in the pews to support the congregation was like pulling teeth!
Become a Presbyterian. We sing all the classics like Bach, Gound, Handle. Currently I am making noise for us to do the St Mathew passion, but that may be a little much for our church. ;-)
