Things are finally getting back to real Spring-like weather! Yippee! The sun is out, a few deer have visited and the Swifts are feeding. Now I can start my day.
Another day at home. It feels good to finally get some things done around the house.
Jan, your house sure sounds like it is coming right along. I am so happy for you both.
Yesterday our weather set a new record. It was the lowest high temp for May 22nd. (67 degrees) Today’s record is from back in the 60’s (63 degrees), so they don’t expect to set another record today. At the moment (10:00) it is 60 and expected to get up to 67 again.
We started bringing over the kitchen stuff today and discovered that the drawers and cabinets really need to be cleaned. They are full of sawdust and debris, so Michael has gone back to get the hand-held vacuum. We only brought over the stuff we don’t use much, and it was still 6 boxes full – mostly large lightweight things like tupperware bowls. Another load tomorrow, I guess. Perhaps even some of the food.
We have a handyman here installing the door into the bathroom today. He came in and took accurate measurements and has gone to Home Depot to get the door. When he’s done, we’ll install some towel bars. Currently we have only one and it’s above the toilet in the separate “throne” room.
We found that the cabinet/counter installer did not reinstall the molding underneath the breakfast bar. So we will withhold payment until that is done, too.
