    Morning Vagabonds, and Happy Passover!

We had a great Seder Meal last night at church. Of course it was the Christianized version, but it was very enjoyable!

On this day in history, April 19, 1836, General Antonio Gaona, after losing his way, arrives at the town of Fort Bend. Today the town is named Richmond, and it is the county seat of Fort Bend County. Because of his tardiness, Gaona and his army of 800 will not be able to participate in the battle at San Jacinto on the 21st.

    Hi there Vagabonds

And a happy Good Friday to you all.

It’s 60+ outside the house, of course the sun had been shining on the thermometer sensor not long ago so the reading may still be a little high.

My day will be generally the same as always, but, tonight will be our Good Friday Communion service.

Thank you David for reminding me about Passover. A happy Passover to all y’all Vagabonds especially to friend Arie.

May yours be a Good Friday, and may God bless.

    Good Cloudy morning, Vagabonds,

It was 52 when I got up! Unfortunately, it’s supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow, and maybe even for Easter. And, we’re supposed to hit 70 today. At least it’s not supposed to snow.

    Good Friday blessings to all.

    Good morning, Vagabonds

Man are we suffering from sticker shock! The quote we got to reface all the cabinets in the house including countertops was over $35K! Without the countertops it was still $18K. As our RE agent said, this man was insane! $17,000 for countertops???? They had better be made of solid gold. The other quote was in the $10K range, including countertops. The two RE agents that were there with us each gave us a name of someone who does cabinets and counters well but charges a whole lot less. We will visit one of them today and the other one is meeting us on Tuesday at the condo.

Speaking of the condo, our loan has been approved and we are ready to close on time. All of the repairs we requested have been done except for the damaged skylight which is the HOA’s responsibility. They have stated that it will be replaced by the time we close.

The view from my living room window right now is green trees, blue sky and a few scattered white puffy clouds. I love the springtime! Today’s forecast is for 87 again. We were at the condo all afternoon yesterday, and even with the AC turned off and the temp outside in the mid 80’s it never got above 75 inside. Nice!

It’s Good Friday, and a time of mourning and reflection. But that’s okay, we know how the story ends.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
