My son was in first grade when MJ was big. I remember watching all the little kids come in from recess one day, and the marveling at the number of FIRST GRADERS who were wearing MJ paraphenalia — gloves, jackets. Made me queasy then, and nobody knew anything yet. It was just the mindlessness of the parents who were allowing their children to worship at the shrine.
