    More and more businesses are refusing to serve someone who is on the phone while ordering. Customers blame the server for their own inattention and mistakes, so the business allows the server to say “next” and move on to the customer who is paying attention.

    I’ve actually had a patient take out the ear insert and answer his phone in the middle of a hearing test.
