    Good Sub Zero morning, Vagabonds,

It’s back down to negative 5.3. Our heat wave appears to be over. :(( And yes, Mark, I, too, am looking forward to Spring!!! It was clear enough to see the moon last night. Almost full. Tomorrow, I believe.

I’m starting over a series of books about Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman. A most delightful character in, of course the Mystery genre. I last read them in 2011. And, as usual, I have no recollection of them. How fun. Brand new books.

Good morning, Vagabonds and Happy Presidents Day.

I went back and re-read what I wrote about the Corcoran family yesterday. The years between 2014 and 2016 must have been devastating for them. First Moochie, then Brian, then Noreen, each a year apart.

Federal holidays don’t mean much anymore since we’ve retired except that the banks and businesses are inconveniently closed.

I bought a “kitty grass” pot for Smokey yesterday. (It’s a 4" pot of sprouted rye grass.) We put it out on the patio for her and she loves it. When we take her for walks, she tries to eat every tuft of grass she finds. Now with her own grass, she’s sitting out there just blissfully munching away while she watches the world go by.

We’re going to go over to the mall today to take advantage of P Day sales (if any). Michael needs a new pair of shoes (Vans of course) and I need to stop at Bath and Body Works. Michael also wants to try to find the only Big & Tall shop left in Las Vegas. It’s not too far away, but in the opposite direction from the mall.

Mark, we really enjoyed our visit to Newport. The mansions there are worth seeing.

It rained yesterday afternoon and evening, but the sun is out now with a few scattered clouds. It’s 40 with an expected high of 47, so it won’t get too warm, though.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

Good morning Vagabonds.Had our snow storm start last night and is still continuing now with the temp in upper 30’s.

We got about 5 inches but it is fairly dry, not wet and half water.

My son David stopped by last night on his way home from his son’s house and decided to stay over night and go home around noon time.

He can’t sit still so he went up into the attic and is cutting up a lot of empty boxes that have been sitting there for a long time. Then we can put them out to be recycled.

Why we ever kept them, I don’t know.

He couldn’t sleep too late this morning so he went out and shoveled the driveway. When I asked why he didn’t use the snow blower, he said he didn’t want to make noise and wake someone up.

The street is fairly clear and parts of the driveway are clearing up.

    Hope your day is fine.
