    Hamilton was a Federalist what we live under now, though lately it has become a crypto Plutocracy or rule by the Rich. The Confederation failed so they tried central Federal govt. If that had failed they had another try with something else. Voltaire recommended a Democracy with assassinations.

    Present day Libertarians want us to be a Confederation again.
